You can connect components — agents, data sources, knowledge bases, logic, integrations — using input/output handles, and the platform executes them as an orchestrated pipeline.

Use Agentic Flow when you need:

  • Multi-step reasoning — the agent must retrieve data, process it, call a model, and act on the result across several steps.

  • Tool and API orchestration — the flow calls external APIs, executes code, queries databases, or accesses knowledge bases as part of answering a request.

  • Conditional branching and looping — the path through the flow depends on model output, data values, or confidence scores.

  • Composability — flows can call other agents — agentic flows and Voice Agents — as tools, allowing complex agents to be built from reusable sub-flows.

For straightforward rule-guided conversations with deterministic routing, use the Chatbot Builder instead. For phone-based agents, use the Voice Agent Builder.
