OneByZero Neo 5.0

OneByZero Neo 5.0 was released on 17 March 2026. This release adds multi-agent orchestration, resource-level access control, new channels and MCP tools, and long-term memory for agents.

Read Upgrade Notes before you upgrade.

What’s New

Multi-agent orchestration

  • Goal decomposition — agents break a goal into sub-goals, tasks, and actions for better planning.
  • Supervisor mode — a supervisor agent assigns tasks to other agents and handles fallback when one fails.
  • Peer-to-peer mode — agents coordinate with each other to complete a task.
  • Shared state — agents share a summary or the full state of the work with each other.
  • Human in the Loop — approval steps for agent actions.
  • Set / Get Variable — store and read values while an agent flow runs.

Access control

  • Resource-level permissions — control access to individual agents, chatbots, voice agents, knowledge bases, MCPs, tools, guardrails, datasets, and evaluations.
  • Sharing — resource owners can share resources with workspace members. Workspace Admins keep access to everything.
  • Agent policies — define which tools and memory an agent can use at run time.
  • Existing resources receive permissions automatically during the upgrade.

MCP and tools

  • OAuth for MCP servers — connect securely to third-party MCP servers.
  • Redesigned MCP catalog — browse and manage local and global MCPs.
  • Permissions for MCPs and tools — share MCPs and tools at resource level.
  • New tools — browser use with screenshots and PDF reports, natural-language database queries (NL2SQL), Perplexity search, image generation, chart generation, PDF report generation, and code execution.

Channels

  • One agent, many channels — an agent can hold conversations across several channels, and send outbound messages to a list of recipients.
  • New channels — Outlook, Zoho, and Zalo (multiple bots, OAuth, and media).
  • Agent Schedule — run an agent on a recurring schedule.
  • Microsoft Teams — Adaptive Card improvements and file attachments.

Memory

  • Long-term memory — agents remember across sessions.
  • Memory settings — configure and manage an agent’s memory from the builder.

Voice agents

  • Voice in NeoGPT — talk to voice agents from NeoGPT.
  • Smoother conversations — filler audio while the agent prepares a response.
  • Latency analytics — detailed timing for Twilio and ElevenLabs.

Platform

  • Branding — choose images, text, and colours for white-label deployments.
  • HashiCorp Vault — manage secrets with HashiCorp Vault across the platform.
  • Agent versioning and import / export — keep versions of an agent and move workflows between workspaces.
  • Meeting transcription — a bot that joins meetings and transcribes them.

Improvements

  • Playground scrolling and auto-scroll work correctly.
  • Trace details break down observations and the execution flow.
  • NeoGPT thread list has pagination and search.
  • Filter LLMs by capability and region when choosing a model in the Agent component.
  • Filter LLM traces by deployed agent version.
  • Faster agent runs with prompt caching, and faster loading of the Analytics page.
  • Sessions last longer before you are signed out.

Security

  • Members removed from a workspace lose access to its credentials, evaluations, guardrails, datasets, variables, and integrations.
  • Platform dependencies are updated to resolve reported vulnerabilities.

Upgrade Notes

Admin role removed : The Admin role no longer exists. Use Workspace Admin instead.

Super Admin workspaces : A workspace is no longer created automatically for a Super Admin. Review your onboarding steps.

HashiCorp Vault : Configure the Vault endpoint and token in workspace secrets before you use the Vault integration.
